When performing co-simulation with Matlab/Simulink using a toolkit, 'Control toolkit' user sometimes encounters an error, "THE CLIENT PROGRAM DOES NOT RESPOND"

This is an error which occurs when the the signal from Simulink is not receives within 'waiting time' defined in the setting dialog.

The default value of 'waiting time' is 200 sec.

Simulink

200 sec. means that RecurDyn will wait the signal from Simulnk for 200 seconds.

If the computer is very slow or the calculation in Simulink side takes too long time, (so it takes more than 200 sec) RecurDyn stops simulation and shows the error, "THE CLIENT PROGRAM DOES NOT RESPOND"

In this case, you can follow the below directions to resolve this problem.

  1. Increase Waiting Time.
  2. Check the modeling of Simulink and modify it if the calculation is not efficient.
